Like most children I loved drawing from a very early age but I knew this was the path I wanted to pursue. I set out on my creative journey exploring the world of art and design, this gave me a well-rounded understanding of various creative disciplines giving me a taste of everything. This laid the groundwork for my entrance into the world of fashion, where I crafted my conceptual skills and discovered a passion for visual communication and illustration.
After graduating, I entered into publishing, advertising and then packaging design, I gained valuable experience in sectors such as education, fashion, FMCG, B2B, healthcare, and hospitality. Working within these industries not only allowed me to master my concept building skills but also provided opportunities to collaborate and learn from talented creatives.
A key aspect of my creative process is collaboration. Whether working with clients or collaborating with creative teams. I believe that inclusive collaboration leads to better results, by truly understanding the project brief and working closely with all parties, I approach projects with an open mind and give consideration to other perspectives. I find great joy in overcoming challenges set within design briefs and pride myself on delivering results where all parties are confident and happy.
Where possible I like to create and use vector graphics within my work, most of my illustrations are created using Illustrator adding additional effects on at a later stage once compositions are approved. I love the flexibility within the programme whether it’s logo design, iconography, typography, or illustrations, vectors give me the freedom to experiment. My next move will be to learn how to use After Effects to bring my illustrations to life with movement.
I love what I do and find the ever-evolving nature of the creative industry exciting, I am committed to staying up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and design practices. This dedication to continuous learn allows me to bring fresh perspective and approaches to each project.
I still firmly believe that every day is a school day and I’m always open to learn and grow.
